Masih menarikkah Bunaken ?

Apakah masih menarik Bunaken ? begitu pertanyaan yang kerap di tanyakan teman teman yang sudah melanglang buana ke Papua, Ambon, Wakatobi sampai Alor dan Komodo. Bunaken seolah hanya syarat ketika seorang ditasbihkan menjadi penyelam. Wajib datang ke Manado.

Itu dulu dan ketika Bunaken masih menawarkan pesonanya. Visibility jernih, pelagics yang beraneka ragam. Kini banyak berubah. Reklamasi pantai Manado sedikit banyak mempengaruhi. Sampah mulai banyak dijumpai sampai Bunaken. Ada sebagian koral dan terumbu karang yang rusak. Bahkan beberapa kerang raksasa – Giant Clamp – yang dulu ada di Fukui sudah punah. Kenaikan suhu laut juga mempercepat matinya biota laut disana.

Semakin jarang dijumpai Baracuda atau tuna di sana. Juga ikan Napoleon yang sempat menjadi pemandangan rutin di kawasan depan kampung. Saat break lunch di atas kapalpun, kami bisa melihat mereka hilir mudik seliweran di bawah, seolah menunggu sisa nasi.

Seorang teman mengatakan ia ke Menado hanya untuk berburu makro di kawasan lembeh. Selat Bitung. Pilihan ke Bunaken dilewatkan.
“ Malas,..tidak ada lagi yang menarik disana “.

Saya merangkum tak salah pendapat teman itu, walau tak seluruhnya benar juga. Bunaken masih menyembulkan pesonanya. Masih ada sisi lain yang menakjubkan. Hamparan coral subur di Likuan masih memanjakan mata.
Terus terang saya memang mengkuatirkan Bunaken. Ikan ikan yang semakin sedikit membuktikan something goin on there. Sesuatu tengah terjadi. Tiga hari terakhir di Bunaken, tak melihat seekor pelagics , kecuali seekor penyu.

Polusi, ambisi manusia, reklamasi pantai membuat kawasan yang pernah menjadi surga bawah laut ini terancam keberadaannya.
Siapkah anda kehilangan Bunaken ?

event ini untuk menguatkan indonesia di mata dunia bahwa negara kita adalah salah satu negara bahari terbesar didunia..kita bisanya hanya komentar tapi langkah kongkrit yg kita lakukan ga ada.susah loeh bikin acara yg bginian perlu satu tahun utk siapkan segalanya agar proses berjalan dengan lancar..bunaken mungkin hilang pesonanya tp hanya sedikit, msh banyak puluhan dive site terhampar disekitar pulau itu.bangga dong punya bunaken.do not underestimate nature or nature will underestimate you.pcaya deh..yuk rame2 kita selamatkan bunaken

dulu pas datang ke Bunaken memang saya tidak menemukan keindahan coral di sana saat Snorkling, karena saya datang hanya ikut snorkling di tempat yang coralnya sudah rusak, namus saat beranjak ke tempat lain, dan melihat dari kaca di bawah kapal keindahan itu terbukti masih ada, apalagi bisa saja kalau saat itu ikut menyelam, saya akan mengatakan Coral Bunaken itu indah, jadi menurut saya Bunaken sekarang masih indah apalagi jika kita ikut diving ke sana
